2. Research experience

  • Gene therapy
  • Viral vector (AAV in particular) design and application
  • Mouse models of glioblastoma
  • Cell and molecular biology techniques
  • Protein expression and purification from different systems.

3. Research interest

My current interest at TTCRC involves cell line and organoid model development for Gall Bladder Cancer, characterization and therapeutic strategy design for the same disease using those models.

4. Previous working experience

  • Bose Institute (Oct 2016- June 2020): Postdoctoral Research Associate. Studying human protein kinases to find out hitherto unknown substrates using chemical genetic methods
  • University of Massachusetts Medical School (Sept 2008 –August 2016): PhD student. Adeno-associated viral vector mediated gene therapy of glioblastoma in different mouse models.
  • Calcutta University (August 2007 – August 2008): Project Research Fellow. Preparation and characterization of amino acid coated gold nanoparticles and their biological uses
