2. Research & Interest

I am working as a research assistant in the cell biology team since September 2019. Here, my research focuses on establishing pre-clinical disease models i.e. patient-derived organoids and understandingthe molecular mechanismsinvolved in disease pathogenesis in gallbladder cancer. This work involvesthe usage of both primary cells and cell lines to study the cross-talk between p53 and NF-kB signaling pathways under environmental stress. I have completed my Integrated MSc. in Biotechnology from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Then I have gained experience in cancer biology and molecular biology techniques by working as a project trainee at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore which circumscribed selective cytotoxicity evaluation and molecular analysis of small molecular library (CMBLs) elucidating their role in miRNA regulation and metastasis in cervical cancer. I also gained expertise by working as a Project JRF at IISER Bhopal which involved understanding the various pathways of exosome biogenesis and how these exosomes act as key player in cell to cell communication and metastasis in colorectal carcinoma.
