2. Research experience
Anindyajit Banerjee completed his Bachelor and Master of technology in Bioinformatics from B.I.H.E.R and SASTRA University respectively. He started his research career as the ‘project fellow’ and further he acquired CSIR – SRF (Direct Fellowship) to pursue his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) from CSIR – Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, Structural biology and Bioinformatics Division. He was awarded Ph. D degree from University of Calcutta in 2019. During his doctoral studies he has exhibited his expertise in the field of Computational Structural Biology, Network Biology, Computational Genomics. Later, he joined Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre Research (TTCRC), Tata Medical Center, Kolkata in 2018 as Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) in Bioinformatics. Upon joining he was initially involved in setting up the Bioinformatics facilities for TTCRC. In TTCRC his interest lies in understanding the genetic variation of Paediatric Haemato-Oncology patient samples. He has set up various automated bioinformatics pipelines in order to understand the biological importance in clinical aspects. His work is globally acknowledged with his publications in high impact factor journals like NAR, JBC, Proteins and so on.
